Ondo Poll: Adeuti emerges LP candidate

Mr. Stephen Adeuti has emerged the candidate of the Labour Party for the the November 26, governorship election in Ondo State.

The party held its primary at the Royal Bird Hotels, Alagbaka, Akure, the State capital on Saturday.

At the primary, monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission, some observers and security agents, Adeuti won unopposed following his adoption by the party’s delegates after his only opponent at the primary, Mr. Olugbenga Ojo stepped down for him.

The returning officer for the election and Deputy National Chairman of the party Mr. Ladi Iliya commended the aspirants for the spirit of sportsmanship and charged them to continue to work in unity to ensure the party’s success in the forthcoming governorship election.

Speaking, the candidate, Adeuti expressed appreciation to the party’s delegates for the confidence reposed in him and vowed to lead the party to success in November.

In his remarks, the state chairman of the party, Mr. Wale Gbakinro charged members to start aggressive campaign for and successful outing in November.
