I have reviewed Rev. Adedayo’ comments on Prof. Ayo Olukotun’s analysis of President Muhammadu Buhari’s transformational leadership capacity.
The writer’s conclusions miss the critical essence of resources for leadership’s strategic design and implementation. I agree that President Buhari has power but I argue that power alone is not sufficient in the management of a macro economy like Nigeria’s. I also argue that the few Nigerians who hold most of Nigeria’s resources are deliberately keeping such resources from both the monetary and banking systems to frustrate the administration and visit poverty on Nigerians.
Nigerian politicians do not prioritise national interest as politicians do in America. I just pray that all Nigerians and the elite would learn to think less of President Buhari and more of Nigeria in their business and politics.
