The party appealed to the the state police command and other security agencies in the state to be proactive in the protection of their members before and during the governorship election, coming up on November 26, 2016.
The Director-General of Olusola Oke/Gani Dauda Campaign organization, Mr. Bola Ilori, made the allegation in a statement issued on Thursday .

He said, ” Recent experience confirmed that our members have been attacked in Idanre, Ose, Ikare, and Ondo city by known thugs of the ruling party and their sympathisers in the state.
” Part of the plans uncovered indicates that this incident would be on the rise in the coming days.”
